Has anyone had this happen to them?
I have a Abit NF7-S2 motherboard with a Sempron 2400+ (1.67GHZ) "overclocked to 2.2GHZ (10 x 220MHZ, 1.85 Vcore) and cheap PC3200 Ram.
My system WAS very stable, but yesterday I was making changing to the RAM timing in BIOS, and as the BIOS was saving the settings, the system unplugged slightly at the power supply and powered down, rendering my system unbootable.
The system powered down while the screen read: "do not shut off the computer while BIOS is saving."
I tried clearing CMOS and even removing the battery for 20 minutes disconnecting the power supply from the mainboard and trying it again but to no avail....no post
beep...nothing. I am beginning to think the BIOS rom is corrupt and the board needs to be RMA'd.
What do you all think?

Apparently you configure PC's for sale, why not slap in another board to confirm your suspicion. You probably got some laying around over there.
B4 you criticize a bigger man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, you're a mile away, and you have his shoes.

Good gesture, but we sold out of this board and aren't due a new shipment until 2/15/05 and I have no boards in the shop.
I don't want to wait until then as this is a personal project, not work related.
Besides, I am only a tech support manager and I cannot access the components the company sells, for my own personal use; unless I buy it.
Any other ideas to help me out?

Change out the bios chip with a working broad then hot flash the bad one after you have booted with a working bios.

xXx-HotShot-xXx...thanks for your help.
Actually, I know about flashing the chip,
I just don't have another board on hand to use. I wanted to know if anyone
with the same problem revived the board any other way besides using a duplicate board. Thanks again
