I want to upgrade my system which is currently as follows :
AMD Duron 750
Abit Kt7a (Kt133a)
384 megs Pc 133 Hyundai
Asus Pure Geforce II GTS
SB Live Value
20 gig 5400rpm ATA 66 Seagate HDisk

I got like 300 US dollars.Now i want the best upgrade to my sytem.I was thinking of a getting an Athlon XP 1800/2000. I have update my KT7z bios to 3R.
Is my mobo compatible with 1800XP/2000XP ?
I dont want to go DDr as yet.
help would be appreciated !

why not upgrade the mobo and cpu, you can get an asus or soyo mobo with the asv333 chipset for around 150 and an athlon xp 2000 aorunt the same, but check for ram compatability and such before.

just a thought

I have a kt7a with raid. It runs the 1800XP great. No need for a new mobo.
