a7v266e PCI problems

Comment:
My asus a7v266-e isnt recognizing any of the PCI slots, sometimes it says nothing is there, sometimes it says 20 things are there, sometimes it sees generic "PCI card" or "Encryption/decryption card". I disabled all the onboard audio and still cant see anything. Its like the pci slots are useless. Am i missing a jumper setting on the moboard or something? (seems to work when its detecting the ata100 devices, but sometimes it wont look for them and my pci slots turn to crap) (and it seems to not look for ATA100 when i install XP during bootup)

Out of curiosity, how have you populated the PCI slots? You got anything in the ACR slot?
In your BIOS are two pages that refer to “PCI Configuration” and “PCI IRQ Resource Exclusion”. You might want to make sure that these are at their default settings.

Summary: You're at 143Mhz now? You'll need to get to 148Mhz to make ~2000Mhz and that'll put your pci freq at 37Mhz. If you can even get it there, that number puts you pretty close to pci problems... If that...
