hit Ctrl-Alt-Del, then click on the Processes tab....at the top of the columns, you'll see: Image Name, User Name, CPU, Mem Usage. Click on "User Name" to sort the Processes...if your name doesn't come to the top of the list, click it again. How many processes are listed with your User Name? Are they all necessary?

"SIP on 96~99 ".

Dude!, you have no worries. SIP commanding 96%-99% is actually pretty good. It simply means your CPU is in 96%-99% idle state.

Something tells me the discrepancy may have something to do with your AV, eTrust (CA).

Let try this, disable your internet access for a few seconds, completely uninstall eTrust; reboot and check the CPU usage numbers in the task manager, see if the numbers now make sense.

Don't forget, you'll need to reinstall your AV after all this is done.

Just a silly thing to ask but how do you know which processes are necessary?
