Hi guys, I'm just having a little trouble with my video card. I know this is a cpu forum but I couldn't find anything on video cards. Also this is a overclocking forum so I felt that this page was suitable.

Just for started, I did not overclock my current video card. I am experiencing artifacts and flickering when playing any 3d games. I know that this is a common error when overclocking but the thing is I have never over clocked this card. I have never played a 3d game over 2 hrs on this card recently either. It is just weird that I am still expereincing this issue even after having my computer off for a long time. Usually, letting the video card cool down will help but it is not.

Also, I checked the tempature on my card and it is no where near hot. I can literraly touch the gpu and it is just warm.

What kind of video card are you using? Power supply? CPU overclocked? Tempterature of the video card under full load? Without those, there is no way to tell what is casuing it...

Time to roll up your sleeves and get busy.

I'll also advise you check the CPU HSF, all case fan(s) & clean out any dust bunnies accumulated over time, same goes for your video card.

If you have the opportunity, you should recoat the thermal film between your heatsink and the CPU for effective heat transfer and lastly ensure your system is sufficiently ventilated.
