Ok, bought 2500+ and put it in a Soyo KT-400 MB. By changing the multiplier I can't get it to run at anything over 171x12.5 without locking. I know it isn't the motherboard at fault or the memory since I had run both much faster using my 2400+ chip previously. It is running at 48 deg. full load at 1.70 volts. I tried upping the clock speed to 172x12.5 and also 160x13 and both wouldn't post even with the voltage as high as 1.8. What would be doing this??? Could my chip be that bad of an overclocker?

Hey Keith,

try 11x190 and if its okay then go a little higher each time till you get to 11x200 whitch is what mine is at.But i'm using the a7n8x dlx mb.w/corsair xmspc3200 set in sync with fsb.my c.v. is at default.

11x166=1826MHz is the default multi's and fsb for the 2500+barton

Your kt400 is a via mb. board right? So it might not make it that high but then again it might ,Give it a go.

good luck,macdaddy

Ok, now I am even more baffled. I tried upping my multiplier more and it started working. It seems that certain random speeds work and others don't. 171x12.5 works, 172 doesn't 175 does.
