Hi

I installed a 2500 Mobile last night, got it running at 12.5 x 200 at 1.7v.

Temps 39 Idle and 43 Load, passed Prime95 for 2.5 hours...I'm quite pleased so far, will try to drop the multi tonight and raise the FSB until its unstable, then krank it higher but I ran out of time last night.

Anyone with a higher speed?

NF7S -V2, Crucial RAM 3200

Hi,

My 2500xp mobile is @ 208 X 12.5 = 2610ghz..
Its Prime95 stable .. anything above becomes unstable..
Have not really tried raising the FSB and lowering the multi because its so stable and super quick at those settings..

Vcore is @ 2.0v, temps = idle 42c / load 46c (watercooled )

3dmark 01 = 22k
3dmark 03 = 7.8k

okay we have the same set up then apart from the memory which I know might hold me back a bit - but I'd love to hit 2.6!

Hi,

I think thats about my limit because in other tests ive done with this setup its shown me that this particular CPU does'nt like a high FSB unfortunatly... but i can live with what i have.... it absolutly flies along...!!!! .
I have actually booted up at 2.7ghz but prime95 crashed after 2mins ..lol.

Ive read about and seen some systems with these CPU's @ 2.75ghz.. with super cooling though.. But im not throwing anymore cash into my PC for at least a year...lol..#

My standard 2500 runs reliably at 2.2 by just raising the fsb to 200 with 41C idle and a maximum of 46C under load. The mobile is supposed to go a lot higher without problems

Hi again ,

"Did you try 13?"

I have to admit i havent tried x13 multi yet ...? i may give it a go ... i was just blown away the my current settings..lol.

2.5ghz is a nice overclock.. keep at it..!! I did suspect you would need to pump a little more voltage through it from your first post and judging from your results your cpu seems very similar to my cpu.. I had my cpu running at 12.5 x 200 @1.8Vcore.. but becuase i have a good cooling system i just carried on pumping in the voltage and cranked it up..!!

Keep going and good luck...

Yeah I'm waterchilled also so I'm not that bothered about volts. I'll keep plugging away at it, just takes a while as I like to prime for a couple of hours after every increase!

I'm very chuffed tho, dont really need the speed but it just feels nice. Everything opens fast!

I hit 48 degs at 2550 1.9v last night, had been running for a few hours with prime. I'm not sure if this is okay, but no prime errors.

Heating was on so the room was warm.

I'll play more over the weekend!

Thanks OC'ing Freak, I'll post back soon.
