i have an 2400xp thoroughbred for which is overclocked to 2600xp.
Can anyone out there tell me what pentium clock speed this is compared to ??

What i mean by this question is that ive heard that AMD cpus are faster than there equivalent in pentiums??.

Yes I believe AMDs are faster for some applications. I use seti and OCed athlon XP 2000+ to 2100+ beats P4 1600A@2100 by 40 minutes on the same work unit!!!

Hey Brian,
I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago and got some rudea$$ comments myself. Here's what I was able to glean from the posts.
AMD 2400+ clocks at about 2.0 GHz, but AMD labeled it 2400 so users could compare the speed to the Intel. This means a 2400 compares to 2.4GHz Intel, 2600 compares to a 2.6GHz, etc. While the actual clock speed is lower, their labeling scheme is what is used to compare to the Intels.
