OS: Xp pro sp2
CPU/Ram: Amd 2400+ 1GB Pc2700 333
Model/Manufacturer: MSI/Via Kt4v

I recently format my system and for now, i'm running at 1800+. I use to run at 2400+ for 3 years now but since the format, I can't. The FBS is set in the bios at 100 MHZ with auto as the multiplier (15X). When I try to change the FBS to 133, it just reboot and reboot and I can't get to the Windows screen. I run Fuzzy Logic 4 to try to OC my system to the max that he could handle and I only get 115 mhz before crashing.

Here my spec:

Cpu:2400+
Mobo: Msi/Via KT4V
1 gb ram pc2700 333
bfg 6600 gt oc 128mb
Power Supply: Antec 430W true power.
3HD WD (120GB+120GB+200GB)
1 dvd
1 CD-rw
1 Promise adaptater IDE
1 audigy sound card
1 lan card
1 fax/modem v.92

I bought a new video card (BFG 6600 Gt OC 128 mb) witch need to be plug with the same cable as an hd cable to be able to run. Since that, I start having problem with my system. I think that I don't have enought power. I check in my bios for the power consumption and I've got this:
Vcore: 1.664V
+5.0V 4.591V
+12.0V 11.863V
-12.0V -11.907V
-5.0V -5.177V
Battery 3.296V
+5V SB 4.993V

So, is that meen that my computer is running low on power and that it didn't have enough for the Cpu? Do I need to change the VCore to 1.850V to have engouh power? I even unplug the floppy drive in case the it drain to much power at startup...

Please help me.

"Do I need to change the VCore to 1.850V to have engouh power?"

NO! That's WAY too high for your CPU! Leave it at the default.

Here's a few suggestions:

- don't use Fuzzy Logic 4...if you wanna change your CPU settings or overclock, do it the "right" way. Go into the BIOS & change the settings manually.

- you have a big draw on the +12v rail. The video card may be pushing the limit. Try temporarily disconnecting the extra HDDs & all optical drives. See if that frees up enough power to allow you to run the FSB at 133MHz.

- it appears your +5VDC rail is out of spec. The ATX spec allows a tolerance of ±5%, so the range is +4.75V to +5.25V...your's is 4.591V

Sabertooth:

My old video card was a Ti4200+ witch didn't need to be plug with power to run. I barely regret that card.

jam:

You were damn righ. I had to much hardware on my system. I unplug my 2 cd/dvd and 1 HD and I was able to load the computer at 133... So now, my cpu is recognized as 2400+.

But, I was wondering, is it possible to plug 2 power supply in 1 computer. I mean, my antec to do the work right now, and one 300W that I have for my dvd/cd and the last HD. Would it be possible? Or it as to be plug to the mobo?
