I want to connect my xbox 360 to my computer for windows media centre and Xbox live, but the cord that the xbox comes with to connect to a computer is an ethernet cable. My computer only has one ethernet cable port which is currently occupied by an ethernet cable going straight to the modem. I could use a usb cable to connect the modem, but that would mean slower internet. Should I just connect the xbox through the ethernet cable and put up with slower usb internet? Or is there another way to connect the xbox 360 without using an ethernet cable?

You need to purchase a Router or Combined Modem/Router, dependent on where you live and who your ISP is, also see:
