Think you paid too much for your Playstation 3? In the company's fiscal 2008 annual report, Sony revealed that they've now lost roughly $3.3 billion (that's billion with a B) on the Playstation 3 since its launch.
Do you believe that?

That's not strange, just like all business man will tell you they are losing money for their business.

I bet that not a single executive @ sony felt any of that 3 billion loss.
Should i put a question here? :)

It's not anything new that companies that produce consoles lose money for the first 3 years before breaking even or even seeing a profit for that matter. Sony has lost money, but So has Micrsoft and Nintendo with their past consoles as well. Losing 3 billion may seem huge, but for Sony it isn't, because Sony has A) a lot of money. B) they have one of the biggest electronics divisions in the world. So Sony losing 3 billion on the PS3 is more like an Itch then a deep gash. PS3 wil be profitable for Sony within the next few years, just like the PS1 and PS2 were in the end. Once the Ps3 drops below $250 it will see a huge jump in sales.

Ps3 has confirmed that they will not drop the price, when last week xbox 360 announced their price drop.
