Sims 2 slowing down?

I dont know what it is when i am playing sims if i zoom out the game stutters..to many sims on the screen at once the game stutters..the sim gets out of the car or is driving the car the game stutters! i have over 500GB of memory 10Gb of Ram and am using Nvidia Geforce 8600GT could someone plz help?

This is because the people that made sims 2 where armatures and used fat programming.
It's not your computer it's the game,
It happens to me too.
