Hi, Ive just purchased a ps3 and have connected it to my TV via HDMI and via an optical cable to my 5.1 amp. However, i seem to have lost the sound through the TV. Presumably this is because of the HDMI connection. If i connect the standard AV cables to the ps3 and the TV can i select somewhere for it to output the oudio via that for the times when i dont have my amp switched on. Can anyone help? Thanks

It all depends upon your TV and how it is set up. Without knowing the make or model of your TV, it's hard to determine what the problem is. My best guess would be to contact your TV's tech support. They can guide you through the process, considering it looks like the problem is due to a setting on your TV that isn't set right or hasn't been set yet. If it's broke, then blow that sucka up!
