hello if i take a ethernet cable and connect it to my laptop that has a high speed mobile internet stick and connect the other end of the cable right to my ps3 will i be able to play my ps3 games online

Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
