Are there any Gamecube games that use online play, and if so, do I need an ethernet adapter to connect to the Internet?

There were only a few games that supported offical GameCube online play, but they have all been disconnected now.

The alternitive is warpipe, which is free and it allows you to play gamecube games online against other people.
