Im trying to network my ps3 to have an internet connection so that i may play games online. I started to manually configure my network settings and i got the ip address part as "successful" but the internet connectiion was "failed". I plugged my ethernet cable from the ps3's LAN spot into my modems ethernet spot. Obviously the IP address part was good cause i got a successful, im just not understanding why im not getting a internet connection. It says failed due to DNS server problems. Possible i might be using the wrong DNS in which ill try a couple of things. Let me know what you think or if i need to give additional information.
ok i need help bad i am using my best friends unsecured wirless network from next door my problem is that my laptop has no problem connecting to the internet but my ps3 can not it gets the ip address but cant connect
where is your ps3 at in your home? have you tried putting it in another place? it may not have enough signal strength to connect or something around the ps3 is interfering with the signal.
