What is the model of your router

To access your configuration page you need to type something like (netgear) in your browser address bar.

Then after we get this far the fun might start if someone has set up a user/pass that you don't know.

google search.... portforward gears 2 (AND MODEM/ROUTER NAME)

1. your gona have to setup a static ip address first, or the whole thing is pointless and wont work

then your gona have to find the guide for "your specific modem/router" MINE is an smc3dgn modem so (MY specific guide) is

("AFTER") you set up a (successful) static ip address, look for the guide by picking your own specific router or modem (new modems have the router built in so its a modem and router in one , like mine) after you find yours then under "X listings" scroll down to the xbox 360 gears (2 or 3 as both use the same ports) and youl have found your guide.

epic's servers uses port 3074 both in TCP and UDP and 80 in UDP (i opened 80 in both tcp/udp...might aswell right?) halo reach uses 88 in tcp/udp and port 53 in tcp/udp has a free software than after installing u can check type in your port number and check if its open. (none of the other programs or online websites that offer to check, worked for me except the software that portforward offers in their site.) once you confirm the port are open your done.

your welcome planet earth......
