Specs: xbox 360
I was just wondering what happens when you take an Xbox 360 apart as I have heard that your account is marked for tampering. I'm not actually going to do it as I don't want to brake my Xbox I'm just curious.

Don't know about your account, but any warranty it has remaining will definitely be null & void because they can visibly tell when screws have been removed etc.,

So any repairs it might need in the future will cost you big time. If it's warranty has already expired though, you've nothing to lose by disassembling it.

The xbox itself is extremely easy to open and repair if you have the Red Ring of Death, however as Phil has said if you have warrenty it will be null and void.

Opening your xbox will not mark your account in any way, However there are many people that apply 'hacks' 'mods' etc to their account which allow them to change their gamer score and other such things. If you get caught doing this then your account could be blocked.

I know a few friends whos xboxs have been banned from xbox live for violating terms and conditions, ie modding their accounts.

You should get the upgraded battery pack for your controller and the charger unit too. i have used them for about 3 years now and the batteries and charger are still going strong

You can use Xbox plug and play which is a battery and it is wireless but when it runs out you can plug the charger in and play wired while it charges and it'll save you a lot of money because I used to use batteries.

I was an adventurer like you once until I took an arrow to the knee!
