PS3 all the way for me. Xbox 360 blows imo. You have to pay to play online, no blu-ray, no built in wi-fi, upgrading the hard drive is a chore within itself, unlike the PS3's where it's a snap.
Yeah I hear ya on that but for me I don't have a high def tv, I don't game online, and I don't connect my Xbox to the network so it works just fine for me :)
Don't get me wrong I think the Xbox 360 is a solid gaming machine, but the lack of standard options and fees that MS puts on its customers is what totally blew me off from buying one.
I think MS should allow people to play online for free with the free silver membership, but only the paid gold membership would be allowed to download TV shows, demos and extra map packs for free and if people on the free silver membership wants to download TV shows, demos and extra map packs they would have to pay for it. At least that wouldn't be such a turn off to people that want to play online with an Xbox console, but at the same time Microsoft would still turn a profit with their gold membership.
I think it would be great if they let people play online for free but I'm guessing they don't because they are making a killing on Xbox Live revenue.
Also, you can't forget, that Xbox has still sold more units than the PS3. Of course, that may change now with the Hi-Def wars solved. PS3 has the blu-ray advantage now.
The PS3 is definitely a nice unit. I bought my 360 for next to nothing so had it not been for the price I probably would have gotten a Wii or PS3. Either way I'm going to end up with them all at some point :)
The PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 for the month of Feb and March in the U.S. A lot of people suspect that since the drop of HD-DVD xbox owners and people that were swaying based on the format either switched over or decided to go with the PS3.
I know a lot of xbox 360 fans were pissed when Microsoft stated they had no intentions of supporting Blu-Ray with it's current 360 model. Sooner or later Microsoft is going to have to support it rather they decide to support it with the 360 in the future or the next generation Xbox console.
Once blockbuster and the WB decided to switch to Blu-Ray only it was the end of HD-DVD 6 months before toshiba announced it.
