I read www.yellowtab.com for the first time, and got particularly excited. I mean, how cool it would be to have corporate support for our favorite OS again...but they don't say very much about it, or when it will be released.
Then on the other hand, there's the open BeOS project (http://www.openbeos.org/) that I have read about...and I'd like to big up them too (show my support).
Unfortunately, being very non-business savvy, I do not understand what's going on. I thought Palm bought Be's intellectual property (and source code), which I would think means yellowtab can't release Zeta.
Who owns what and who is allowed to sell/release it?
Bottom line, I want more documentation on development!!! : )
Thanx for readin'!

My understanding is that YellowTab has a distribution agreement that pre-dates the Palm buyout.
OpenBeOS doesn't need any license because they are not using any existing code; they are re-creating BeOS from scratch.

I see...well if YellowTab ever actually releases Zeta, I think I will be thankful for that pre-Palm buyout agreement.
Thanx for the insight!
