I'm using WinXP but since I tryed BEOS back
in 2000 I love it but my 3rd PC was not perfect
for it now I think my 4TH PC this one is
perfect but for some resons I don't know if
I should use BEOS.
These are some reasons.
1. Now Be.inc is dead so BEOS.
2. I use my PC for games.
3. No company is working in BEOS software.
4. Has some software but not more or same
as MAC.
5. I'm allways upgrading or updating only M$
says I have to, so I that's why I don't use
old OSes or dead ones.
6. Viruses
If I install it I'll use it for alternative to XP for sometimes.
First does it load faster than XP?
Can I remove it? if something goes wrong
specially if I make a partition for it an
install it.
Is it ok to have my 2nd hard disk divided
in 10GB FAT32 to share and 10GB for BEOS or 5GB for BEOS?
I think that is enough questions.
Last thing I need
a FTP client
a FTP server a good one
an ICQ app program
what u recomemd an must be not dead app

The short story is to boot from floppy to beos. Otherwise you might have trouble fixing your XP install.

If you find a dead link try bezip.de some of those links are still good. Try planetmirror for some older apps under beos. Ask on this or different sites if you can't find what you want.

Viruses? I have not heard of or seen any viruses that work on Be ... are there any?

Unknown. Maybe at some time. Most are by hackers that use Linux and hate microsoft. Or have pointy heads and tiny feet and very small p$%#@s.
