Why my keyboard doesn´t work?

Well, my problem is than BeOS doesn't work with my Keyboard USB(compaq) after the boot. Before, i can press any key while BeOS is booting, like to work in safe mode(when i need to press SPACE) but after the boot i cant use it. If i try, only happens that my mouse stops(but the BeOS goes on working) and the Num Lock is "lighted".So, i can't do anything more, because my mouse is stopped and the keyboard too and i have to reboot by the power button... need i buy other keybord that works in P/S2? have in any place a driver for my keyboard? if someone could help-me, please, e-mail-me or answer-me, please. thanks a lot.

Not all usb controllers work. It may be that. Yes, you might have to get dano and try it or a ps/2 keyboard.
