Hi everybody I am doing a schoolwork about computers and different computer systems.
So I like to know what you think about BeOS, why its so good or bad. Thanks!

First, the bad news: BeOS is no longer being development by Be, Inc.
Second, the alternate work-around for the bad news: OBOS is under development. OBOS stands for OpenBeOS. OBOS will contain new GUI.The good news is, there are now over 1000 programs for BeOS, and growing (from system utilities to games). Check out BeTips.net for more information. Be's main site is no longer serving (well, at the least). BeBits.com is where you'll find software for BeOS.
Add this to your report:
SoundPlay, an audio program for BeOS, is the only and only MP3 player in the world that plays MP3 backwards.

Personally I like BeOS, the interface is ok, but doesnt compare to the Mac OS. One thing I can say I hate about it, is it doesnt support anything beyond external ports for modems. Maybe I am wrong, if I am correct me, but I cant get it to read anything beyond that.

I love BeOS it really performs much better
on my x86 laptop then Windows NT 4 with
Novell Client on it. Be OS was an
amazing Operating System. To bad the
company had so much finacial problems.
Thanks to Microsoft. The Operating
System had a nice interface though not
very pretty it was nice and simple and very
quick for work flow. I do however prefer
Mac OS X which is now my platform of
choice.
