I have a friend with a via ac97 soundchip. When he installed BeOS 5 PE it does not work (there isn't any sound). Is there someone who can tell me how to make it functional. thx

I had this problem... I don't undestain very well how I resolve it... I suggest to remove Sound Blaster compatibility from BIOS. BeOS support AC97 from made.

AC97 sound is software sound, the sound is prosscsedby software drivers then sent to the AC97 chip and sent to the soeakers.
