i have compaq presario 2540EA and i bought it from sweden so the cds recovery are in swedish language "not english" and the original winxp home edition is swedish too so i format it with fdisk then i installed win xp Professional so everything is fine but the boot time is duplicated and the fan has a big noise and the tv out "on/ off button doesnt appear in the properties !
i installed all the drivers from hp.com but these problems still exist!
what can i do ?
and there is another question: if i copy the english cds recovery it will work with me ???
i have a friend that has the same laptop but he has only 5 recovery cds while i have 7 cds !

thanks a lot

Please repost this on the hardware forum.
This is for the Be Operating System.

Other than that I'd look at the HP web pages. Dunno about other languages. I assume that you need to learn Swedish to install. You should be able to get to the recovery but you are still stuck with a Swedish install.
