What if I turn off BeOS without SHUTDOWN?

(we knows what Windows do during next starting).

So, I'm interesting very much, what about with BeOS?

It is supposed to be rather safe. The file system is well designed to protect writes. It could fail in some situations but I would guess it is way better than windows. More like JFS or Reiser in that reguard. BFS if fully journaled.

There's no message either that it was shut down improperly either..it'll just boot normally..and the file you were working on will likely still be there , with most of the changes you made saved...!
