I'm thinking about purchasing the Opera browser for my new BeOS setup. Anybody have any experience with it?

I've been using it somewhat frequently for about 4 days now. It's VERY solid, very quick, no annoying xtra's or anything. It views alot of pages that I find NetPositive unable to view. When I click on mpg files, it doesn't play them as there seems to be some sort of program/file-type assocation process that I haven't investigated yet in Opera.
I am also considering the purchase.
Hope that's useful!

A lot of users can't open the .bin file. I think you may have to download the file to a beos machine only! Beos files have extended attributes that may or may not get lost in other file systems. Joey, how did you get your copy, online or from a CD?

I downloaded it via BeOS PE, and I did have problems with it when I downloaded it via Win2k. It's a 30-day trial, so sadly enough, I'll hafta decide on purchasing it or not in a few weeks : )

The combination of BeOS and Opera makes for some pretty damn snappy Web surfing!

Just to be picky, I do find that NetPositive opens things more swiftly than Opera, however Opera seems to have alot more compatibility with different types of webpages...

Summary: Well, it does seem as BeOS users should get a break, considering...in my case, after the exchange from real money to canadian...it'd cost me nearly 65 bucks.. and being on a terribly low fixed income,...
Summary: Nice of Opera to at least give a discount, but I got to say its probably not worth even that. Firebird 0.7 is faster than Opera on my computer and its modern so I can do banking etc. Unfortunately ...
