My computer is a K6-2-500 (64Mb RAM) with video-card onboard SiS530 (with 8Mb RAM shared), and i need SiS530 driver for BEOS, because when the BEOS is started the video is turn-off... Anyone have the SiS530 driver???
Because the chipset limitations, there is no driver and SIS has not giving anyone specs on the hardware anyway. Id try BeBits.com SiS 530 - 580 Driver. its just might work. Its experimental so be careful.
You can get the updated drivers (1.08E) from http://www.tay.com.br/drivers/Sis530_108e/ or from http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10110-100-2950180.html.
These SHOULD allow it to work with DirectX 7.0, but definitely NOT v8.0...
i also have sis 530 chipset, its built into my m/b, i also have a 3dfx banshee i use instead mainly. i lost my driver dis but the drivers were crap with no acceleration, but on my bros gigabyte m/b disk had sis530 drivers which support OPEN GL AND D3D IN 32BIT COLOUR in res uupto the one abouve 1024x768(i forgot what this res is as my monitor doesnt support it)AND WORKS WITH DX 6,7,AND 8. THe sis 530 is BETTER QUATITY than my banshhee as it has 32bit but SLOWER PERFORMANCE, SAME FPS ON MAXPANE THOUGH. Serch motherbord manufacturesrs websites for better drivers that were desined for there m/b.
I need urgently to find a solution with the compatibility between Sis 530 and Dx 8, because I´ve installed that f---ing Dx and the weaky SiS doesn´t accelerate nothing at all.
Hy! I have a K6-2(500 MHz)with sis530 mainboard with 8 Mb video memory and a voodoo 2 video card with 12 Mb video memory but i can't see well the movies (lose frames). I have exactly the same configuration than Bodgan (k62 500mhz 64mb ram vodoo2) and EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM with divx movies. I will try with the updated drivers from siscorporation.com and tell you.

I have a Sis620/530 motherboard and a inbuilt soundcard. I've lost my soundcard driver and unable to find it from sis corporation's offcial website. If u find any driver for it plz mail me the complete file or the location of it.
Installed DirectX 8.0 on system with SiS 530 chipset. It permanently disabled H/W acceleration. The '530 drivers are certified compatable with DirectX 7.0. Performance went in the tank with SW emulation.
Ithink this is the suitable one http://www.biostar.com.tw/support/driver/vga.php3 I find many SiS530 drivers in Chinese Home Pages(Becasue SiS comes from Taiwan). But all of the V.108 drivers do not work .(included the SiS home page one.) so ,only I found one, which is in Biostar ,have a V.107 ,that is the newest one. or you can go to Leadtek to download the V.106.
hey.. you need the sis 530 graphic driver version 1.05, because this version is not directx certified. the lasted driver does not running with directx 8.xx or higher.. ok??

I have had the same problems... I installed the drivers, and dx7 and everything was going fine, even quake3! then i installed dx8 and it meant that i no longer had 3d acceleration, and now i can't play quake3!

Where you can download "DirectX uninstall" which successfully took dx8 from my pc, and then after a reboot i was able to re-install dx7. :)
But I still need an opengl driver as quake3 is still messed up :(
Use DirectX Killer (I think that that's the name.) download it and remove your bad directX and install compatible Sis530 drivers and compatible directX. Not sure but I think that as long as you have version 7 or less of directX you should be okay with the Sis530 acceleration. It improved things for me, didn't solve everything though.
I have a SiS 530 video driver, I think version 162. I have several games for my boys on my PC and I get a message saying: I have a older version of a video driver. I do I update to a newer version?

I have a AMD K-6 400mhz, 98mb ram, winme. SiS530 mother board with 8mb ram. It was running fine with directx 7 and lower and when i tryed to installed directx 8 and higher it turned of my 3d acceleration. Why isnt directx 8 microsoft certified? When will there be a certified SiS530 driver that supports directx 8. Cuase i have mircrosoft flight simulator 2002 and it wont run under directx 7 and lower. All of you need the sis530 v1.05a drivers, I had your same problem until i installed these older drivers which ARE directx8 compatible and haven't given me any problems with it. These are the Compaq drivers, and it looks like HP used the same, but they'll run on any computer.
