riptide (conexant) soundcard

Comment:
I have BeOS R5.0.1 Personal. It is installed on its own partition if that matters. No sound plays, and in media preferences, it says "None Out" ("This device produces silence") for the audio output. I have a riptide (conexant) soundcard which works on windows. Im not sure wether its a problem with a missing driver or some settings I need to set. I searched around for a driver with no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I can say with 99% certainity that your card is not supported under BeOS. It
is not listed on www.frizbe.net
I suggest you to buy another soundcard. Check with www.frizbe.net to pick
one that suits. I can recommend a card based on the Cmedia 8338 or the
8738, it works perfectly under BeOS and you can pick it up for under 20$
