I think something is wrong, unless you have one of the newer distro's. At bootup when you see "Loading...." press the spacebar and chose safemode.

Or read this here for "Alt-Control-Shift-F12: This key combination will automatically revert your screen settings to the default 640x480 at 60.1Hz settings. It even works if you aren't in Screen at the time!"

I used google and searched for beos screen resolution.

Thought I explained that well enough.

Press

Alt-Control-Shift-F12

This key combination will automatically revert your screen settings to the default 640x480 at 60.1Hz settings. It even works if you aren't in Screen at the time!"

Does it not work for you?

The split 4 screens is the problem I have with my BookPC that has a TridentBlade 3D MVP4 video chipset. I believe (don't take my word as hard fact) the problem is the OS is trying to use a driver that is not completely compatable with the chipset. No matter what the resolution, it still will not display properly.

Sometimes I give just poor advice.
