Hello. A few days ago I installed BeOS and everything seems to be working ok, except for my modem and graphics card. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop, with an Intel 852/855 GM graphics chipset. I can't seem to find a driver for this, and am currently operating in VESA mode and 8-bit color, with 1024x768 screen resolution. If anybody here can direct me to a driver to use for this chipset, or a driver for another chipset that might work, I would be very thankful.

For a start look at three things to get your half way there.
Vesaaccepted, and two wkik pages at wiki.bebits dot com.

Vesaaccepted is a way to edit the vesa file by using the app at bebits.

wiki.bebits dot com/page/VesaPage talks about a dos tsr to get vbe2 or vbe3 to work.

The next wiki is similar to vesaaccepted except that you have to do it every boot. VesaSafeMode.

It also makes a difference at to how you boot. Either from dos or a beos boot disk.

The last choice might be to write to an author of a similar driver for a clue as to how to port a driver or a simple edit to an existing driver to make your card known to beos.
