hi i am a new user of beos i install it on a athlon xp 1000 mhz en had no problem only when i want to shutdown i get a message that something is still running and wont shutdown.But it works fine now i wont to know where i can find a layout of how to work whit beos and where can i find zeta version for download.
I only have a problem whit my p2 i have.I cant instal v2 or v3 of beos max edition on it.It starts and then i get the screen and thats about it.I saw that a few people got that and was told to go in safe mode.I tried that and fnked all parts of safe mode and than i got the screen welkom to the install of beos maxv3 en i klik oke but after that nothing happend.I have 128sdram pc 100 in it and tried it also withe pc133 but still notging.
Is there someone ho can help me with this prob.please mail me

i live in holland and love computers.I daily work whit pc's ant also repair almost every day.Withe software beos i am new

I would get the developer edition for older machines. Keep max to later use for applications.

Yes, do try all safe mode options (press space when BeOS is booting up). In particular, if the boot process stops with only 2 or so icons left, try to disable the multiprocessor support first. If it worked for you, you can disable it permanently in kernel settings file.
