I know I saw it somewhere, but now I can't find it. I have BeOS PE and ADSL which requires a PPPoE stack. Does anyone have the site for BeOS PPPoE?
Also: Have they found a way to boot BeOS from WinNT/2K/ME/XP w/o requiring a floppy? In other words, Windows w/o dosmode?? Still waiting for that.

yeah dude thats been out for a while. you can make your machine dual boot and choose the os at start up if thats what you mean. GO to begroovy.com and ask there people are so willing to help there.

I was talking about the downloadalbe Personal Edition of BeOS, not Pro. The one that you launch from Win9x. It shuts down into DOS mode then loads BeOS. On Windows NT/2K/XP/ME, you usually need to create a DOS floppy to allow BeOS PE to boot since these OS's don't have a DOS mode.

The easiest (and, as far as I am concerned, most secure) is to get a cable/DSL router, and use that. The router handles all of the nasty PPPoE stuff. Additionally, you can be ALWAYS online, and if you want additional PC's (running ANY OS) you have the ports to do so, and you only need a network cable :) I use the Linksys 4 port router, and I have a BeOS, Linux, Mac OSx, 95, DOS/wfw3.11, 98, 2K, 2K server, and an NT machine all using the same DSL. sweeeet.... The router also performs DHCP functions, switching, and segmenting of your network. It is easily configurable through ANY web browser... If you keep your eyes open, you can find this router for around 80 bux.
