PPC install freezes (HD drvrs or ?)

CPU/Ram: AMD K-6 128megs,LC4 to G3

My BeOS 5.03 Pro install on my mac 6500 PCI freezes halfway thru each time, at different points each time...as I can't guess what might be responsible, anyone else have a guess...I thought it might be the Harddisk drivers, or unmatched RAM (as it's EDO), but I really don;t know...all else seems fine..the video drivers appear compatible (it's installing at 768 X 1024), etc..
Anyone?
