I have a Compaq Presario 716 ea and I've forgiven the Bios password .It is a phoenix 4.0 release 6.0. What can I do about this problem.

Check the Compaq site.

My suggestion would be to remove your cmos battery and plug it back in. This will erase your cmos/bios and password

Befor you remove the battery make sure that it dosnt have a juber right by it,if it dose try moving the jumper to the outher setting or if its just A 2 PIN REMOVE IT FOR about 60 secs the putting it back like it was.Some times thats the only easy way to do it.
