Comment:
When I attempt to install BE OS 5 Pro ( single boot os ) I get the following error message. The file boot/beos/ect/dictionary appears to be corrupted. The system may not work correctly after it is installed. Once the install completes and my PC is rebooted I am prompted OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND. I installed BEOS 4.5 on the same PC with no problems. Thanks for your help. John M.

Did you install to a new partiton or are you copying over an existing partition? Did you do a clean install with a format of the drive?

Thanks for your reply,
Clean install, with a FAT 32 partition. It installs normally with the exception of the error message. Once rebooted it prompts OS not found. I also have the HD connected to the motherboard.

It might be that your old 4.5 bootloader is pointing to the prior install? I would make a boot floppy from the pro cd and boot to beos and rerun bootman.
