Just curious, but would there happen to be an older version of BeOS I could stick on an old computer? It only has a 100MB hard drive, and no CD drive (does have floppy though). Windows is so sluggish on it that I don't bother much with it anymore, but maybe BeOS could revive it for me. :D

From what i understand of BeOS so far, is that it's a high perfomance, and always has been , OS, not really old, and i dont expect theres any version that would run on really low-end computers (i might be wrong)...frankly, for your situation, if you really want to perk up your system..see if you can find a copy of geos 2x or even better, NewDeal Office 3.2 (even 4x would run well on that machine) .
It's really tough to find, and a new copy of
Geos 4 will set you back a bit...but its internet capable, a full install takes up maybe 30 megs of space, and it's ideal for old 386's and older 486's (very perky), with a choice of interfaces (the win9x style, and others)
Two spots to look are www.tvakatter.org, and the only dealer out there for geos 4, www.breadbox.com
