Hi everyone,
My ATI All In Wonder 4meg AGP video card seems to work great with tuning in the cable TV stations, but there isn't any sound. The system sounds work fine, also the startup sound, MP3s and WAV files; just no TV sound. I have looked through the media settings, but do not see anything abnormal.
I don't know if it ever worked before because I used to use a VCR to tune the channels (I had a remote that way) and use the sound from the VCR connected to a home stereo receiver and speakers for sound. I would just leave the TV software tuned to channel 4.
Any ideas? If I can not get it working again, I will just go back to using the VCR because it was nice to have the remote. :)Thanks,
Cliff

Wow! What an asset to beos users. Look here for ideas Cliff.

Hopefully more how to's to come.

DUH! I am such an idiot! :)
I forgot to make sure the audio cable was actually there to connect my TV tuner card to my sound card. *slaps myself in the forehead* I pulled the audio cables out when I gave the motherboard and componants a new case.
*hides under a rock for asking for help before checking all the hardware*BTW - Thanks jefro - you've been a big help for so many people (including myself) in this forum.
Best wishes,
Cliff

I have my own problems with ATI. I'm using their All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500 64MB 4xAGP card.
I've hooked up the 1/8" jack to my line in, set the levels in the sound control panel, and I don't get any sound. I shouldn't say that. I get sound, but at a near-nil level and only when I turn my speakers to max. All other sounds come out fine, and anything else I plug into my line-in jack on the sound card comes out fine as well.
I don't know what to do. ATI's support has been less than helpful.
Somebody help, I'm at my wits' end.
