I'm new to beos, and can't connect to the internet with my ethernet card. I have a card that was included with my HP Pavilion 8580c pIII 500mhz comp, and I don't know what port and irq it resides in. I tried automatic dmha, and it gave me the error "a network device failed to initialize" (or something to that extent). Then I tried manually typing in my settings (I found them in windows with "winipcfg"). Same error. I was thinking maybe the error meant the port/irq settings were wrong, but I don't know how to find them. Any ideas? I connect to the internet with a cable modem (roadrunner).
