Simple test first. Is your USB ports enabled in Bios (not beos.)
Since a linux user claims that it will work with an experimental kernel you may have a remote chance. What you might need is better USB support that some claim with the Dano BeOS. Go to /dev/ports and see what you have. I think that is where usb ports show up at? It might be /dev/..something else.. check here for ideas http://www.betips.net/chunga.php?ID=596

Doesn't mean that a few tweaks can't get it to work. You might have to use a command string to connect. This assumes that you have a uart chip in the modem. Most Creative modems are just winmodems. But like I said there is a linux user that claims they can use theirs.
