CPU/Ram: 533 celeron / 320 MB Sd r

When ever i right click on desktop and try to access floppy it doesnt open any thing after some time gives me an error can anyone tell what could be the probabel reason

I REally love to work in beos
i have sony 1.44 mb drive

Your bios (not beos) must see the devices.
When you right click on the desktop you have the option to mount the disk. The disk should appear either in disks folder or on the desktop. Then double click or right z-snake your way down the tree.

But the problem is not that the bios recognises it. It works just fine in windows
It is shown in the menu when i click on the desktop. it shows me in the menu floppy drive and cd but when i click on it to mount it . it gives me an eroor.
I Hope beos supports Fat(partitions)
I am sure it does but just in case it doesnt in which type should i format it so that it works in both windows and linux and Beos
