Hi!

I'm in a big trouble...

Firstly, I'll describe my machine:
I've a Compaq Presario 2110 running Win 4.00.950C over MS-DOS 7.0 on a single primary FAT32 partition, it's 48MB (RAM) and a small Master HD (2GB) (which shares the IDE0 with a Slave Creative 32X CD-ROM drive). Special 'features': my floppy controler is 'lost' (it means that I can't access any disquette)... And I'm trying to make function a BeOS 5.01...

And, then it's what's happening:
When I run the BeOS loader under Windows, it restarts at DOS and breaks (simply freezes) without any error message. I also tried calling BeOS on a DOS-only boot, but it falls into the same problem.

Then, I made a BeOS bootable CD, which works properly on another machine. But, when running on my PC, it breaks before BeOS loader shows its graphic interface, without errors again.

I think my hardware is working properly... But I can't understand what is happening to my BeOS... What can I do?

I wait answers

Please (and thanks),

Leonardo

I believe the problem is your processor. What you describe is exactly what is said in the Frizbe.net hardware matrix description.

As you said, all your hardware is working properly, which may be true, but your processor is not compatable.

Best of luck,
Cliff
