You have to attach it via the PS/2 converter in order for it to work.

I find that it's very jerky, not precise at all, It wasn't always this way and I think this is due to some bizarro hardware conflict. Has anyone else experienced problems and or solutions?
Thanks..

I have the MS Intellimouse explorer and I find I can't use any application with a larger than display window because everytime I move the mouse the window scrolls up.

With my Windows 98, the mouse and its buttons all worked fine. Yet, when I updated to Windows ME, the side buttons to close or go back don't work.
I downloaded Microsofts 4.0 mouse update for this and when I try to install, I get message :preparing to install-1:2803 2:Setup Error 3:4:5:6:-now I wonder what to do?

I have a microsoft wheel mouse optical, What a waste of money. The drivers are all stuffed and my mouse is always causing windows to crash even with a new driver from their site.

Hi,
Got a MS Intellimouse Optical and trying to get it to work on my Compaq Presario 705 SE Laptop. My OS is (unfortunately) Windows XP. The mouse works fine when I plug it into my USB port but it does not want to work when plugged into the PS/2. The place I bought it at was no help at all!!! I'm very dissapointed with the product and can not find a solution anywhere.
Anyone with suggestions? Bye
