Comment: Whenever i turn on my computer the monitor starts up but after a couple of seconds it turns its self off into stand-by mode wher the light is yellow and not green. i thought maybe it wasn't pluged in right but that wasn't it, and then I hooked it up to my laptop and it's still not responding. Is it a computer problem or a monitor problem. Please help. Thanks, Belou

Reply: (edit)We still don't know from that test. You will have to take a known good computer or monitor to test one or the other. If you are sure that your laptop would cause it to work by a prior test then it must be your monitor. Other than inspecting the cables and connectors there isn't much the average user can do with a monitor. Don't open it up as HIGH lethal voltages may be present as well and toxic materials should the CRT implode. There is an implosion hazard should you remove the back cover. My guess is you will have to get a new monitor and you will probably like it's color and sharpness. How is this a BeOS question though? Do you have the Be Operating System installed?
