Hello...my modem is on COM3 and BeOS only
goes up to COM2, does anyone know how to fix
this?? And Control Panel in Win98 says I have
the sound card "RipTide Wave I/O" does anyone
know how ot get this to work? Thanks!

I've had the same problem. My internal NON WIN Modem was PCI and on "COM 5." BeOS kept asking if it was on COM 1 or COM 2. My solution was eventually to get an external modem and actually put it on COM 1 or COM 2 and later to get a cable modem and use the network card.

There has to be a configuration file somewhere you can edit though. See if Be.com has any info on this, like support or "known issues."

If/when you get it, how about dropping me a line, just to satisfy my curiosity.
