Comment:

I just try to install BeOS Personal Edition 5.0.1.
My system is Win2000 on C: with NTFS and D:, F: and G: in with FAT32.
Since C: is almost full, i install it on F:
Installation was successful. Than I reboot and using the BeOS bootfloppy, i tried to start BeOS.
It came with 'the welcome screen' which was like KDE with some symbols showing what the system trying to do (like configure hardwares).
Than came 'Welcome to Kernel Debugging Land' screen with its full of hex (and the prompt like kdebug>).
Any ideas??

Complete system:
P3-450
256 MB RAM
ATI Rage Pro LT
Ethernet Card

There are two screens that you might see. One is a beos boot screen that looks like Icons with an old style atom symbol first and the other is a machine config screen that few people would see. I suspect that you are seeing the second config screen.

Some laptops have that come up the first time you try to run beos. Very few people know why or how. It may be the actual machine and not beos. This assumes that you have seen choices for dma and irq and sound and video and such. If you picked some of the settings wrong it would go into KDL. I suggest that you uninstall beos and re-install it. Guess I assume also that you might need a primary partition, so check in 2K disk admin for disk settings. That may be D: E: F: or G: since you can rename them.

When you reboot into BeOS from floppy try to press the spacebar when you see "Loading..." . It then may allow you to choose safe mode options and figure out what the trouble is. ALSO you might go back to the config screen. I suggest that you read what is there (at bottom of screen)and don't change anything. Disable plug and play if you can.

Ok I have solved it. It seems I BeOS cant configure my PCMCIA card.
Have any idea so that i can run my card under BeOS?

BeOS has also problem with my mouse. It likes to 'jump' to another area of the screen.
Have no problem with soundcard (i am impressed here, because my old Linux Mandrake 7.2 cant even configure it).

More help is really appreciated.
