I have a Lucent Chipset Winmodem which in windows can achieve connects of 52000, but in BeOs not matter what I try I can only achieve a 31200 connect. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance

Just a wild guess from an ex-user with ~10 minutes of BeOS experience... It sounds like a simple matter of you selecting the wrong PORT speed. Instead of 38400 try 115200.

I have a problem even worse than that. No matter how hard I try, I cant get BeOS Personal 5 to connect to the internet. I tried putting my ISP AOL's dial-up numbers & passwords in - it didnt work. Can someone PLEASE help me?
