I'm just starting wit BeOS, and have a Number 9's video card. What driver do I need, where ti get it, and what to do with it when I get it?! Where do I put the file to have it load?

Here is a great site dedicated to up-to-date hardware compatibility:

I don't see anything for Number 9 though. Hardware support for "alternative" operating systems is usually limited to the most common equipment.

There is a program available at BeBits called Vesa Accepted. It will allow you to have BeOS in color even if your graphics hardware isn't supported.

I ran the Vesa program and selected a configuation, but it doesn't seem to hmake any difference. I'm sure there is sonmething I'm doing incorrectly, but I don't have a clue. Is the Vesa program need to be in a certain folder? etc...
