Hi everybody (Yep I'm a n00bie)
I have a realtek 8139 series nic and beos won't initialize it with it's current drivers, so I downloaded the correct driver from windows and put it in my c:\windows folder. I just want to know how to get to it to install it in beos

Now I see it.
YOU can NEVER ever (well, almost) never put ANY beos file on a windows or linux machine.
There are special attributes that can only exist on a Be File system or maybe a newer Skyos file system. When you unzip a file on windows that belongs on BeOS it drops that special info that was protected in a zip format.
Always unzip in BeOS and only in BeOS. Always transfer anything BeOS (except for html or text) in zipped format to another beos user.
Get file and unzip in beos and install and try again.
