Comment: when i installed BeOS 5 pro the first time on my computer, i split up the harddisk with Be-partition magic. BeOS got a place of 1.5 GB to work with. then i installed the OS. on the end it asked me, if i want to install the Be-Boot manager as well. i did so, although i have already a boot manager from windows NT. later i had to delete everything on my computer, because of hardware-problems. after re-installing NT i still got the BeOS boot manager, although i did EVERYTHING delete - all partitions. i deleted again, but after reinstalling NT, the same as last time. what can i do to rip of this stupid BeOS boot manager? please, it is very annoying! thanx Zauberlehrling!

Reply: (edit)When you installed the BeOS bootmanager you were told to make a rescue disk, simply load up BeOS, put in the disk, and restart with the disk in your computer, I think thats how it works although I've never used bootmanager.

Reply: (edit)Option no.2 1. Just boot into BeOs. 2. Open terminal 3. Type bootman 4. Uncheck all of the boxes 5. Reboot The boot manager will be gone

Reply: (edit)type fdisk /mbr under windows at the c:\ prompt, and ignore any virus warnings you get (they are false). This will restore the mbr to what windows wants it to be.
